Albéniz, Isaac

Spanish composer and pianist.
(b Camprodón, Gerona, 29 May 1860; d Cambo-les-Bains, 18 May 1909).

The composer-pianist Isaac Albeniz was the greatest Spanish musician of his time. The sounds of the guitar are so clearly suggested in much of his piano music that guitarists have enjoyed transcribing them for their own instrument.
